Dr. Max Reuter, project leader
Max was born in Regensburg, Germany. He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology in 2015 from the Gene Centre of the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich, Germany for his work on the functional characterization of the first mRNP biogenesis factor involved in RNAPIII transcription in the model organism Saccharomyces cerevisiae. He then joined the DNA Replication Group at the MRC-LMS in London, UK as a postdoctoral fellow to work on the MCM2-7 complex in helicase activation and DNA repair. In 2022 he returned to Germany to work at the IMB, Mainz, funded by the DFG, to investigate the causes and consequences of DNA replication insults. In his spare time, Max enjoys triathlon, photography, investing, and reading and is a voluntary paramedic. |
